As a foreigner, you are entitled to the Parental allowance benefit if you have had residence permit in the Czech Republic for longer than one year (except for Employee card holders). The child needs to be born in the Czech Republic or – if not – needs to fulfill the same time requirements (Applicable for NON-EU Nationals).

The total amount of the Parental allowance benefit is 350, 000 CZK (525, 000 CZK for multiple births), which must be taken during the first three years of the child’s age.

  • Obtaining the required documentation from the social security office using the recipient’s maternity leave or income of the 2nd parent.
